This isn't your average restaurant, it floats. "Nawalilkher" and "Babulkher" are genuine ocean-worthy jahazis (traditional Arab sailing dhows) that once carried cargo along the Kenyan coast and across to the Arab states. Today they've been restored into floating restaurants, keeping all the traditional dhow features intact, and are moored at Mombasa's Tamarind Jetty. "Nawalilkher" is open for private bookings and seats up to 70 guests for dinner, with extra space left for dancing during night cruises. It can also host cocktail parties for up to 100 people. "Babulkher" holds 55 guests for dinner or 70 for a cocktail event, and is also available for exclusive hire.
